Getting Started

Connect your Frontier identity, install the client, and open the test build.

Current accessFrontier is in restricted testing.

An authorized Steam account is required to download the launcher and enter the current build.

01

Identity and access

Connect Steam first.

Your Steam sign-in is the identity used by the website and launcher. Frontier never receives your Steam password.
  • Open the account page and choose Sign in through Steam.
  • Use the same Steam account that owns and runs Arma 3.
  • Signing in does not automatically grant launcher, staff, or faction access.
  • The launcher remembers the signed-in account on that device until you sign out.
02

Frontier Launcher

Install, verify, launch.

The launcher manages the Frontier client files required by the current build.

Download

The download endpoint checks the signed-in Steam account before providing the launcher.

Install / Repair

Downloads required files from the current manifest and verifies file integrity.

Play Frontier

Starts Arma 3 through Steam with the Frontier client files enabled.

03

Optional applications

Apply to APD or EMR.

Both applications are attached to your verified Steam identity and can be tracked on their application page.
  • APD and EMR each have a separate application form.
  • An application enters review; submitting one does not grant immediate faction access.
04

Quick help

If something goes wrong.

  • Run Install / Repair if the launcher reports an update or integrity problem.
  • Steam and Arma 3 must be installed before using Play Frontier.
  • Use Sign out in the launcher before connecting a different Steam account.
  • An access-denied message means that Steam account is not authorized for the current test build.
